Personal Statement:

I wanted to know more about Japan because it was something I never really knew much about. The language was different and everything looked different from what I grew up with. I applied to this program because I wanted to learn Japanese and understand the culture. This would help me understand more about other cultures if I wanted to study in college. It fits into my life because I want to travel when I’m older, so knowing another language will be good. Walking around actually being able to interact with the people is something I want to be able to do.
